Julie earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut in Mansfield along with a certification in surgical technology from the Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing in Connecticut. After completing her certification, Julie spent eight years gaining invaluable experience as a certified surgical technologist at three outpatient surgery centers in the New Haven and greater Hartford areas and at the Hospital of St. Raphael (now Yale-New Haven Hospital St. Raphael Campus) in New Haven. She then returned to school, earning a master’s degree with honors in physician assistant studies from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.

Julie is affiliated with the New England Hand Society and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She has volunteered with the National Kidney Foundation, Black Rock Food Pantry in Bridgeport, Connecticut, and the Gail Singer Memorial Blood Drive in Manchester, Connecticut.
